BVA Masters 2022 Lovebirds Show

The BVA (Belgische Vereniging Agaporniden) is an official association dedicated to breeding and conserving Agapornis species in Belgium. Founded on November 1, 1992, the BVA is committed to bringing together lovebird enthusiasts, often referred to as "lovebirds"" in the "context of this species, with the main objective of promoting high-quality husbandry, breeding, and exhibition practices.

The association serves as a platform to increase knowledge about Agapornis and protect and maintain the species' genetic diversity. With various initiatives and activities, the BVA plays an important role in supporting lovebird conservation efforts through education, organizing exhibitions, and exchanging information among members and the public.

The BVA (Belgische Vereniging Agaporniden) organizes an annual event known as the BVA Masters International Lovebirds Show, the first time this prestigious event was held in Belgium.

The event has become an important focal point in the BVA's annBVA'salendar, attracting participants worldwide and promoting awareness and preservation of the lovebird species globally.

However, in the last two years, the organization of the BVA Masters International Lovebirds Show has faced significant obstacles due to the global health crisis that has had far-reaching effects. As a result, the show has not been held since its last edition in 2019.

The postponement was a step taken to comply with international health protocols and safeguard the welfare of the lovebird-loving community.

But in September 2022, when global conditions began to improve after a health crisis, the BVA Masters International Lovebirds Show returned with gusto.

The event's return was met with tremendous enthusiasm from lovebird breeders and enthusiasts from various countries, who had long awaited the opportunity to participate after two years without exhibiting. The 2022 BVA Masters International Lovebirds Show was held in Aalst, Belgium, and took place over two days, from September 10 to 11, 2022.

In the BVA Masters International Lovebirds Show 2022, a panel of competent judges will conduct the bird judging process and assess each bird based on strict quality criteria.

The judging will take place on Thursday and Friday mornings, where the judges will provide an in-depth assessment and determine the final score for each participating bird. Once the judging is complete, all the scoring labels will be attached to each bird on Friday afternoon to provide clear information about the judging results.

Friday evening will mark the official opening of the exhibition, which will be attended by participants and visitors. In addition, the event will also divide the award categories by class and team.
